Our website and technology ensures that information collected is limited to a name and city only and allows a Hotel accommodation user to conduct a broad search for possible similarities. If a broad name search reveals a similarity to their inquiry, it is intended to prompt the Hotel accommodation user to conduct further due diligence, for example:

We do not collect any other sensitive information or contact details and, our data is handled securely.

The structure of the database is broad and search results maybe a coincidence and not specifically identifying an individual. The broad results however are a useful guide for hotel accommodation providers to conduct further due diligence, undertake a general guest risk assessment to detect potential fraud and flag high-risk bookings before accepting a reservation. Legal advice affirms conducting a random name search and displaying broad results containing a name and region is a coincidence of fortuity and does not specifically identify an individual or breach any discrimination or privacy laws.
